At Dogwood Cottages, we are committed to reducing the impact that our daily activities have on the environment.

Objectives:

1. to eventually replace all light bulbs with the low energy type.
2. we continue to recycle all plastic bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles and cardboard
3. we try to conserve water and electric where possible

How you can help us:

1. when leaving a cabin, please turn everything off.
2. please check heating/air con when going out
3. re-using towels saves hundreds of gallons of water and soap powder. When re-using towels, please hang them up. The ones you want replaced, place in a pile in the Jacuzzi or shower.
4. please don't bring back Styrofoam containers from restaurants, unless you intend to eat the left over food. We throw away dozens of these each week and they do not break down in the earth. Our local recycle center does no take Styrofoam.
